In this section, you will find the forecast model soundings for the RUC, NAM, GFS, UKmet, and the NGM models. The models update on various schedules. The data output for this section will be in the form of text, rather than images. The data contains all the information gathered by the weather balloons, as they go up through the atmosphere. Also, you will see several weather variables, such as the K Index, which give special information about atmospheric conditions. The locations for the sounds are METAR sites, so most medium to large cities are included.
